March 5, 2007 - Thanks again to everyone that came out for the parade on Feb 18th. It was a lot of hard work for all...but we really appreciate the enthusiasm and energy that everyone put out! Pictures of the parade and other Chinese New Year related lion dance performances are up:

Children's lion dance classes - Yes, they'll be back!! Due to popular demand, we're considering holding a new intake for an 8-class training program. Let us know if you're interested, and what days/times you'd like the class to be held. More info on this soon.

January 25, 2007 - Ok, so we've been a little busier than we thought. However, we did manage to put up a couple of photo albums to share with everyone:
- Jo si daan 2006 (anniversary banquet dinner and performance)
- Lion dance performance for our friends' wedding - these were from a while back but we never did have a chance to put these up on the web. It was a particularly difficult performance as there was very little room to do the lion dance in, but the team pulled through with flying colours!
We're in the midst of preparing for Chinese New Year performances and of course the parade in Chinatown. Don't miss out on the parade, it'll be on Feb 18th (Sunday), beginning at noon -- although all students and helpers at the parade will need to assemble earlier at 10:30am. We'll have more details for you later as you come into class.

September 21, 2006 - It's been a long while since we've updated the website -- many thanks to those of you who faithfully visit from time to time. We're going to have some new pictures of events that have occurred in 2006, and have these updates up sometime in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

January 20th, 2005 - NEW CLASS SCHEDULE - As of February 23rd,
we will be making more classes available for both our children and adults. Kids will have new classes
on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, and adults will have new classes on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Please note that fees for adults and children that pay for more than one lesson a week will NOT change
regardless of the number of classes you attend per week (up to 5 classes a week!), so this is your chance to get as much
practice as you can!
Shaw TV's In Your Shoes program featuring our lion dance team will be airing January 21st
(Friday) at 6pm, and then re-broadcast the same evening, Sat daytime, and Monday and Tuesday as well.
Be sure to check it out!
January 14th, 2005 - Last night Erin Cebula, host of Shaw TV's In Your
Shoes program, came to our school to do an interview with Sifu Carmen in her role as a martial arts
and lion dance instructor. Our students were filmed going through their warmup and lion dance
training exercises. The show should be airing at the beginning of February or thereabouts, just
before the Chinese New Year -- we'll keep you posted with the exact time and date! Many thanks
to Erin Cebula and Rob the camera man for taking the time to visit us, and also to the students
for begin such good sports!

January 10th, 2005 - Happy new year everyone! It's a very busy time of year...
getting ready for Chinese New Year which lands on February 9th. The
CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADE will be on
February 13th (starting at the Chinese gate at around Columbia and Pender in Chinatown), and yes
we will be participating as one of the lion dance teams. Mark it down on
your calendars!! Call us if you would like to help out by joining our team.
We have a bunch of pictures to put up in the gallery, but Sifu Carmen has been
very busy with work lately...she'll get to it soon.
Grandmaster Wong Ha has just announced his retirement as of December 31, 2004, and
consequently his club at 306 Jackson St. in Vancouver (our Vancouver location) is now
officially closed. All of our students will now be practicing exclusively at the
Richmond school. We will be holding a retirement party for him on January 22nd.
New classes will be opening up in February -- so for those of you that want to be go nuts
and practice up to 4 or 5 times a week will be able to do so then. We have not yet decided on
the new schedule or when it will officially start, but once we have finalized our plans
we will post them up on the website of course. The new class times will be for both adults and
children.

November 3rd - We've had a very busy month, so lately
it's been difficult to update this website on a regular basis. We're going to get
back into the swing of things soon though, there are still pictures of Jo Si Daan
that we have yet to put up in our gallery along with our other lion dances.
Mulan Children's Theatre Production - This year we were very happy
to have been asked to do the martial arts choreography for the second year in a row
for the Mustard Seed Children Theatre group in this year's production of Mulan.
We did a total of 3 segments, and were extremely proud of the performers when we
went to watch the final performance on Oct 31st. Good job kids!
